Stroll through sun-kissed fields as you gather your own vibrant blooms or sweet blueberries straight from the bush. It’s a peaceful, hands-on way to enjoy the bounty of the High Country and take a little piece of it home with you. Boone's great flower shops offer gorgeous blooms, too. Blue Ridge Parkway Foraging 

Boone's section of the Blue Ridge Parkway offers a chance to forage for wild species like blackberries, mushrooms, and hickory nuts, up to one gallon per person daily. Be sure to consult the superintendent’s compendium for the full list of what’s permitted, as collecting flowers or other plant parts is illegal. Always follow leave-no-trace principles to help protect these natural areas.
