Getting Here:
Known as "the Heart of the High Country," Boone is located approximately 110 miles north of Charlotte, 95 miles north of Asheville, 68 miles east of Johnson City, TN, and 110 miles west of Greensboro. Motorists can access Boone from Interstates 40, 77, 81 and 85, using U.S. highways 421, 321, and 221, and N.C. highways 194 and 105. The Blue Ridge Parkway is known as America's Favorite Drive and skirts the Boone area with several access points into town. 

Nearest airports include Charlotte-Douglas International (CLT), Piedmont Triad International (GSO), Tri-Cities Regional (TRI), and Asheville Regional (AVL).  Shuttles make regular trips from CLT to Boone, via the Hickory Hop.  A bus service to Boone from Greensboro, Charlotte, etc. is conducted by Sunway Charters.
