Camping in the outdoor beauty of the North Carolina High Country is an inspiring adventure that doesn't necessarily require "roughing it."  The Boone area is home to many high-quality, privately operated campgrounds where you can pull in with an RV or simply pitch a tent. Several campgrounds even offer "glamping" sites with distinctive permanent structures (no set-up required)! 

Additionally, the Blue Ridge Parkway offers both tent and RV sites managed by the National Park Service, including Julian Price Campground and Linville Falls Campground.
