The holidays are somehow a little more special in a cozy mountain cabin or hotel. It's the perfect time of year to start a new or continue an old family tradition with a visit to a Choose and Cut Tree Farm and a head start on holiday shopping. Drive to a jaw-dropping Appalachian Mountain overlook with a chance for a flurry of snow. Take all the stress off of cooking for the holiday and pre-order a meal or make a reservation at one of the following High Country restaurants.

Holiday Dine-In Options:

Dan'l Boone Inn

Traditional, family-style Thanksgiving lunch and dinner are served. Thanksgiving hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Mast Farm Inn

All you can eat, family-style Thanksgiving Dinner at the historic Mast Farm Inn. Three seatings at 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm.  Call or text to reserve your seat. Cost is $68 per person.

Over Yonder

Enjoy a four-course Thanksgiving meal at Over Yonder in Boone. Seating times are 12 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. Email Peden@OverYonderNC.com to make a reservation. Cost is $77.50 per person.

Gamekeeper
