Todd Island Park is located at the corner of Todd Railroad Grade Road and Castle Ford Road, about two and a half miles downstream of the town of Todd, situated on the South Fork of the New River. The park is a part of the North Carolina Mountain Heritage Trout Waters and has a delayed harvest designation.

There is a mile-long hiking trail around the perimeter of the park, a walking bridge that crosses the New River, and picnic tables available. The park is also the last stop on our New River Paddle Trail, which is popular for kayaking, canoeing and tubing in the warmer months.
