Strawberry Hill Arboretum

The T.K. Pease 0.4-mile loop trail leads from Daniel Boone Park up to a stone pavilion, offering a unique vantage point from the center of Boone. Appalachian State Unversity has created a handy tool mapping each of the trees located in Strawberry Hill Arboretum for any visitors exploring the park to use.
Boone's Strawberry Hill Arboretum was as one of fifteen sites across the state chosen to be part of the North Carolina Urban Tree Evaluation Program in the 1990’s. This program was a cooperative venture among cities, corporations, commercial nurseries, community groups, community colleges, professional associations, North Carolina State University, and the North Carolina Urban Forest Council.
