591 Horn In The West Drive, Boone, NC 28607
Loved by young and old, "Horn in the West" is a legacy outdoor drama performed in the heart of Boone, North Carolina, in one of the most beautiful outdoor theaters in the country. "Horn in the West" has offered families memorable summer evening entertainment in the High Country of NC since it opened in 1952.
Open from July 10th to August 2nd in 2025. Shows are Thursdays through Saturdays at 6 pm. As the Daniel Boone Amphitheater undergoes renovations this season, this year’s production will take place at Hickory Ridge History Museum, offering a more intimate, immersive, and community-driven experience. For 2025, Horn in the West™ will feature a fully local cast and create an up-close, interactive performance in and around the historic cabins.
Arrive early and take a self-guided tour of the on-site Hickory Ridge History Museum with 18th-century interpreters positioned throughout the museum's historic cabins.
