This season, Hickory Ridge History Museum proudly reintroduces Living History Museum Days, a return to the immersive, hands-on spirit that once defined us as Hickory Ridge Living History Museum and “village”. On select days this summer, every cabin will come alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of 18th-century life in the North Carolina mountains.
Experience life on the frontier with:
🏡 Guided tours of the museum’s six historic cabins
🥘 Traditional skills like blacksmithing, open-hearth cooking, weaving and wool spinning
🪓 Woodworking & frontier chores
Perfect for history lovers of all ages, don't miss this unique opportunity to learn about Appalachian traditions and the daily life of early settlers.
Living History Museum Days will happen on August 15th, August 29th, and November 14th.
