Howard Knob County Park

Howard Knob County Park features a new ADA-accessible skybridge overlook, above the town of Boone and Appalachian State University. Stroll down short walking paths, dispersed picnic tables, and a picnic shelter with charcoal grills. 

There are portable restrooms on site.

Howard Knob Park is open from May 1st - October 20th, from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Directions: To get to Howard Knob from Downtown Boone, take Grand Blvd. to a slight right onto Bear Trail. Take a sharp left onto East Junaluska Rd. Continue up the hill on Eastview Dr./Junaluska Rd. until you reach a sign pointing right toward Howard Knob Park.
