Howard Knob County Park

Howard Knob County Park is a small park that overlooks the town of Boone and Appalachian State University. Stroll down short walking paths, dispersed picnic tables, and a picnic shelter. There are also portable restrooms at the park. 

Howard Knob Park will soon undergo renovations to make the park accessible to all users. Improvements will include a new overlook, picnic shelter renovations, accessible trails, ADA parking, and a tranquility garden.

The park is open from May 1st - October 20th, from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm.
