Since 2010, Proper has offered locally sourced Southern cuisine at extremely reasonable prices, lovingly prepared by our talented cooks, and served by our friendly waitstaff. Serving daily dinner specials, as well as desserts made in-house. Dine on the lush garden patio, front porch, or cozy interior.

Proper is located in the historic old Jailhouse, Boone's oldest building, and is featured in the Historic Walking Tour of Downtown Boone.
