The Carolina Food Monger is owned by Kellie Lewis and the chef is Jimmy Smith. We have been in business for almost 3 years, starting as a Charlotte based truck and moving to the High Country in February. We are a local-based truck, and typically stay within 20 miles of our farm in Vilas. Our goal is to serve as much fresh local produce and protein as possible.
We have started working with the High Country Food Hub to source these ingredients and often talk with patrons of the truck how they can get involved with the Food Hub to source their own personal local products. We offer several vegetarian-based menu items, gluten-free and dairy free items.
