The Cub is the first race in the High Country Triple Crown- the premier competitive running race series in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina! If you like to run, love camaraderie, and want to support exceptional local causes then this race series is for you!
The Cub is arguably one of the prettiest runs in North Carolina. The course follows a beautiful seven-mile course through the countryside of Valle Crucis. Many runners tell us that this is a great training run for The Bear, although this course actually has some flat sections unlike its grown-up counterpart!
As a 3-part series, all races offer unique age category awards, overall prizes and awards, and shirts that you”ll actually want to wear again. Overall cash awards of $1500 are given out after the last race in the series.
