A fan favorite of both local casual runners and competitive folks from all over the southeast! The Cub, presented by Mast General Store, is back and registration is underway! The race will start from the Valle Crucis school on April 29 at 8am. The Cub winds through the beautiful Valle Crucis countryside and is filled with local charm and fun competition. All race proceeds benefit high country youth organizations including Girls on the Run of the High Country and the Hub for Autism and Neurodiversity. The 12th annual race is sponsored by the BlueCross NC Institute for Health and Human Services (IHHS) at Appalachian State University.
Participants registered by April 10 are guaranteed race shirts and a $40 race registration. From April 11 to April 29 registration fees will be $50. All runners will be eligible to compete in age category and overall awards and have the chance to win door prizes.
