Daniel Boone Native Gardens is pleased to announce the final concert in our Roots in the Garden Music Series with Grammy nominee and winner of 13 International Bluegrass Music Association awards, Darren Nicholson. A regular for years on the Grand Ole Opry out of Nashville Tennessee, and a founding member of acclaimed bluegrass group Balsam Range, Darren has taken his own brand of mountain music around the world. His first solo career song, “Arkansas Without You,” hit the top spot on the Bluegrass Today chart earlier this year. Come out to hear this Bluegrass Legend on Thursday, Oct 5 at 5:30 in the gardens.
The concert will also feature a local artist who will create a live painting that will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the gardens. Food trucks will include Carolina Food Monger and Valencia. A beer tent will be provided by Lost Province. Many thanks and immense gratitude to founding sponsors- Anna Banana’s, Barb Linnville of Premier Sotheby’s, Wild Craft Eatery, West Acupuncture, Lost Province/Coyote Kitchen, Gary and Fuchsia Moss, and Appalachian Home Care.
All concerts are free. Picnics are encouraged -- all beverages should be in plastic or aluminum cups. A chair or blanket is recommended. Dogs are not permitted in the gardens, except for service animals. Wheelchair access is available at the Rockery entrance.
