North Carolina-born artist Lee Hall had a long and varied career. As one of the few women to break through in the post-WWII New York art scene, Hall found frequent inspiration in the New England coastline and NC's Outer Banks.

Her abstract expressionist paintings are vivid examples of those traditions while retaining the kind of detail that truly brings a viewer into a specific place and time. She was also an educator, author, and university leader.

As BRAHM heads into 2024 with a focus on women artist/educators, we're proud to start the celebration with "Lee Hall: Immediate Landscapes." The exhibition spans her career and includes more than 40 of her works.

This exhibition is a collaboration with the Jerald Melberg Gallery in Charlotte.
