Good Fields - An Appalachian Food and Farms Festival

Our mission is to promote our region as a destination for locally farmed food and farm-based experiences in order to support the financial sustainability of the local food and farming community in the High Country.

Good Fields will establish itself as a major culinary event in the High Country. In our first year, we will feature twelve of North Carolina's finest chefs creating dishes that honor our region's culinary heritage and farming history, with a focus on the 150th anniversary of Shipley Farms. Guests enjoy sampling locally sourced foods and beverages, meeting chefs and farmers, listening to live music, and admiring the historic Shipley Farm's beauty.
