Demonstrators will be showcasing traditional earth skills including blacksmithing, fire by friction, cooking with fire, salt making, weaving, and spoon carving, to name a few. Vendors will be available with their natural products including hand-spun yarn, botanicals, wood carvings, salves, and tinctures. Classes will be held to include fermentation, sweetgrass baskets, square dancing, and qigong.

Turtle Island Preserve is the passion project of founder Eustace Conway. You may have seen him in the popular History Channel show, "Mountain Men." Turtle Island Preserve is an environmental education center and 1000-acre wildlife preserve near Boone, North Carolina, where Eustace directs a unique visionary approach to getting people in touch with nature.
