Boone Docs Film Series: Cured
Boone Docs is an independent film series presented by the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country, one of the screening partners selected for the 2020-21 Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers.
Cured chronicles the strategy and tactics that led to a crucial victory in the movement for LGBT rights. Following the Stonewall Rebellion of 1969, the battle that culminated in the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) decision marked the first major step on the path to first-class citizenship for LGBT Americans.
