In addition to the Saturday, March 16th, St. Patrick's Day Parade, which proceeds along King Street from Poplar Grove Connector to Hardin Street, followed by refreshments at the Jones House Cultural Center, there are lots of ways to connect with your inner Irish self in Boone.

Irish foods appear as the specials of the day in area restaurants, and, as night falls, local pubs host lively bands, both the dance-till-you-drop and the kick-back-and-listen sort.
Celtic canines will appreciate the Friday festivities during St. Paw-trick's Day and St. Patrick's Day Yappy Hour from 4-6 pm. Miniature ponies, Chester and Hank, will host a raffle at The Pet Place, Saturday, from 9-1.

The whole family will find fun all Saturday long at Macado's downtown. Great Irish food is on the menu, accompanied by Irish music, fun hats, balloons, party favors, and green beverages.

Daniel Boone Rail Jam invites you to its 5th annual unique ski and snowboard competition. Event facilitators guarantee snow-making for a sweet ramp location down the center of the amphitheater. With more than $4,000 in cash prizes, plus a treasure-heap of product prizes, this Saturday night event promises to thrill the whole family. Local craft brewers and food trucks round out the offerings.
Ease into the conclusion of the weekend festivities with Easy Does It!!! at Beech Mountain Ski Resort, presented by Recess snowboard and skateboard shop of Boone. All skill levels welcome! Compete for fun prizes and awards! A mere twenty dollars gets registrants an all-day rope-tow pass!
