Wildcat Lake offers picnic facilities, including three shelters, play areas and a bath house to visitors.

Wildcat Lake is open for fishing, boating, and swimming. Lifeguards are on duty during summer hours. Boating is limited to non-motorized boats along with canoes and kayaks. Fishing is open from Dawn to Dusk 7 days a week. NC Fishing Regulations observed. The NC Wildlife Resource Commission stocks the lake with bluegills, largemouth bass and 3 varieties of trout. State fishing licenses are required for those who wish to fish.

The picnic facilities at Tufts Memorial Park, which combined with the sand beach and child friendly fishing, make Wildcat Lake a great place to spend the day for visitors and residents alike.
The Park is open from 11 am to 7pm Monday – Saturday and 12pm – 6 pm on Sunday. There is no charge to use any of the facilities, although donations are greatly appreciated. Reservations for use of the picnic shelters are necessary and can be made by calling Grandfather Home @ 828-898-5465.
