Appalachian State University's Turchin Center for the Visual Arts presents exhibitions, workshops, and visual arts activities throughout the year, as well as educational workshops for children and adults in its Arnold P. Rosen Educational Wing.

Current exhibitions include High Country Herbarium: Preserving Plants & Plant Communities in the Southern Appalachians (Feb. 2 - Aug. 4); Sustained Ingrain: Contemporary Woodcuts from East to West (Jun. 1 - Nov. 3); Our Living Past: Southern Scenes from Wet Plate Photography (Jun. 1 - Aug. 4); Art from Down Under: Australia to New Zealand, (July 6 – Dec. 8); Sustained Ingrain: Contemporary Woodcuts from East to West (July 6 – Nov. 3); The Elephantine in the Anthropocene: Kelsey Merreck Wagner (July 6, 2018 – Jan. 12, 2019); The Persistence of Weeds: Hannah Cole (July 6, 2018 – Jan. 12, 2019); and, the annual Rosen Sculpture Walk is scheduled for Saturday, July 26.
