The Annual Downtown Boone Easter Eggstravaganza is a fun, family-friendly event for all ages, held on Saturday a week before Easter. The Town of Boone, the Watauga County Library, the Children's Council and the Downtown Boone Development Association together provide arts & crafts, games, and an exciting Easter Egg hunt for children ages 0-12.

Starting at 10 a.m., enjoy programming for kids of all ages at the Watauga County Library.

At 10:15, the 4-7-year-olds will participate in their Egg Hunt, on the lawn of the Library.

At 10:30, the 0-3-year-olds will have their Egg Hunt.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the merchants in Downtown Boone will host a scavenger Egg Hunt for kids between the ages of 8 and 12. To participate, kids can pick up a scavenger hunt clue card from the Youth Resource desk at the Library. Follow the clues to different businesses, collecting eggs and stamps along the way. Drop off completed clue cards in the night deposit box outside the entrance of Town Hall (567 W. King Street); several grand prize winners will be drawn from the pool of completed cards and winners will be announced Monday, April 15th
