The annual downtown Boone Christmas parade starts at 11am. The lineup includes many festive floats, shiny red fire trucks, draft-horse-drawn wagons, the performers of 'Horn in the West' and of Studio K's 'The Nutcracker', as well as an appearance by Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves. The Christmas parade runs west to east along King Street, between Poplar Grove Connector Rd. at Galileo's Restaurant, and the intersection with Hardin Street at Dan'l Boone Inn. Share in the holiday traditions and enjoy Christmas in Boone! Stop by The Jones House Cultural and Community Center at 604 W. King St. (next to Mast General Store's Old Boone Mercantile) and indulge in some free cookies and apple cider. Story and photos from the 2016 parade at the web link.
